The Chukka Boot or Desert Boot has both a military and sporting heritage. The lace-up ankle boots were once worn by British polo players in India, the name itself originates from the word “chukker” which signifies a period of a polo game.

All of our Hadleigh's shoes are Goodyear welted, in a true and respect of our values as expert craftsman.The Maundo Chukka is finished with a rich peprika color suede upper and with  gum sole. Our Crepe Gum soles is a type of sole made from a combination of natural rubber and crepe rubber.
